DRZ mate I think you need to seriously consider going professional at least on a part time basis, your shots are excellent and you have a great eye, the focus and framing of that shot is superb.

The only posh chocolate that you can buy at every garage around the country. Great picture though. Simon/~Flibster

Ultimately, I cant see him wanting someone trading off his name and in any case, our styles are so different as to make any connection a bit useless (other than as friends, of course). Its always nice to know that people think you have the skills to make it as a professional but the more I get exposed to it, the more I see that actual photographic skill is something confined to serious amateurs / just-turned-professionals or the art-house types. "Serious Professionals" for the most part seem to turn out rubbish shots. There are a few pros that have never escaped the bottom half of the photography comp on "the other place" for instance. Its more about who you know and how much money you have to throw at it than how good you are. The guy that covers the Liverpool 08 stuff produces some truly rubbish photographs, yet still can walk into every photography comission going just because he has a big name. Maybe I am a bit toooo cynical but its the way I see it from an amateur that has been slightly exposed to the world of professional photography... |
