Default MSN question

I know a lot of us here use MSN and maybe even a lot of us have modded MSN (the basic one makes me want to kill people with its clunky pictures and bright colours). Does anyone have an MSN mod that makes the messages appear IRC style?

i.e: Instead of:
Eddy says:
Hello

It would have:
[Eddy] Hello

Or something of the like?

I think the Trillian interface is like this. Either way its a lot cleaner and does away with the micky mouse msn interface

does trillian support file transfers from msn clients, and webcams etc... because i use these quite frequently and i wouldnt like to have to explain to people how to use other things unfortunately

I was a paying Trillian customer once until the support I got for version 3 for just that reason - the 'supported' webcam feature just didnt work. File transfers were fine.

Trillian 4 is in alpha, hopefully they'll sort it by the time its out.

I found aMSN the other day, looked ok haven't got round to trying it out yet, seems like its a basically a linux port so-to-speak (but using the old TK, rather than GTK+ so i'm not sure how nice its going to be anyways)

http://www.pidgin.im/download/windows/

Pidgin (nee Gaim) might be worth consideration. It supposedly works quite happily with webcams, but I've never tried it under Windows.
