Default need a new case for my viewty

SO, silly me didn't put the scratch resitant cover on when i got it (well i did but it had bubbles so i went without it) and now my new jeans have taken a huge gouge out of the front of the screen.

from what i can tell the front is just a plastic cover, the actual touchscreen is just under that, but i'm not 100% on that, an online teardown would also be useful.

so what i'm looking for is a new front plastic cover screen doohickery, i presume this will include the side panels as well.

tried googling (oh my morning in work has been so productive) but i can't seem to find much. i'm kinda hoping someone already knows some sort of phone spare part site as the interwebs are not kind to me today

*edit* nae idea where the best place for this way, so it goes in here, move if you think it's more appropriate elsehwere

I've not had a close look at a viewty, but if it's anything like most other touch screens, the plastic cover bit you're talking about is usually a part of the actual screen fitment rather than just an extra on top. You might have to replace the whole screen which then gets a bit more expensive :/

see i was looking at the screen replacements as i found a few of them and they seem to be a bit smaller. the front cover goes right up to the top and covers the front camera and earpiece hole.

as i said, couldn't find a teardown. i'm bored, think i'll try and take mine apart.

*edit* scrap that, can't get one of the screws out.
