General rant over bikes and my housemate amongst other things...
I'm hating bikes atm, on top of other things, i will update and vent in this thread after i've walked miles to be told i've probably lost my coat (partly my fault). My house mate is pissing me off immensely with his behaviour and i'm not having such a great day overall i'd say so far You can only smile!
Back soon to moan love you all xxxx |

Aww duuuuuuude! You need a beer (times a gazillion!)
My current solution (NB not knowing the problems might mean useless solutions): 1. Chuck the bike and buy some spandex and roller blades and skate everywhere like some sun kissed Californian beauty pageant. (nb, if it's a motorbike then strap on rockets to your back avec le roller blades and WHOOSH... you're off) 2. Get your other house mates to pin down the annoying one, run into the room, pull down your pants and guff in his face. Then get everyone to pick out their bum fluff and shove it up his nostrils. Hope the above is of help. |

Hassle *urg* just got back, although friends (and creme eggs) are doing a good job at keeping me content.
Right, my bike is a money pit. I've just spend £100 on new brakes, £60 on new front mech handlebars and a pair of shifters. I've managed to lose my expensive clipless pedals while i've not been using the bike (because its been broken for months). I think i've thrown them away so i'm back to using flats. I've just found out eh rear derailleur hanger is broken when putting my rotors on (after realised i've lost the tool i need anyway) so i've got to buy a new one of those. The adapters to the fron't brakes wont fit as the forks they came off where different (silly me assuming they'd be the same). All in all i'm spending at least an extra £50 i reckon inc labour maybe more (because the local bike shop is fitting it all now since i've lost my cassette tool and torx set). Right thats the bike, i've fubarred my laptop because i tried cleaning the screen and the bloody window cleaner managed to get under the LCD protecter and has crept up the screen due to surface tension and heat i guess, there are now stupid lines all over it, i've tried taking it out and apart from the hairy moment when the screen went inverted colours kinda i've found out i can't fix this and nearly made it worse, lets hope that dries off... My uni work is this moving target i just dont seem to be able to keep up with Everytime i think i'm there theres a shed load more, and i dont know how other people keep up and have a social life (i'm not losing my social life this is what im here for ). This i can probably deal with if i was more motivated (i confess i suck at that) and better organised. My flatmate is really pissing me off with his cheapness, its infuriatingly annoying now, there are so many examples i could go into, but a recent one would be he would pony up any money towards a new cordless phone (were talking less than £15 for the phone). On the grounds we dont need it and will never use it, currently we only have one phone which costs £2 plugged in next to the tv rendering it useless about 90% of the day, and tbh i didn't mind apart from the few times i needed it. So i bought one anyway, which he now seems to constantly use to talk to his parents (of all people!) and although it shouldn't annoy me it now does, because of his behaviour my other flatmates are starting to annoy me now too. This guy can't even share butter (i kid you not). In fact this problem deserves another thread because although i'm quite happy with our flat situation, there are serious flaws in the working of our flat, and i seem to be holding it all together, and its rather annoying in fact... Now i have high blood pressure Finally i want a girlfriend, haha, i'm sick of going out and doing stupid things of a night waking up in the morning and wishing i hadn't (yeah i can change that i know!). But i wouldn't mind some nice girl helpfully wandering in to my life (yeah that easy) and just settling down a little again. I don't seem to be meeting enough people for this to happen though (well just yet anyways) . This isn't really a problem more of a woe is me moan, i'll get over this and it will sort itself out, actually tbh i'm already telling myself to stfu because i've got loads of great friends and i'm quite happy with that. I've just stopped at my friends had a creme egg and talked about going out tonight (i wasn't meant to be but todays been poop and they want me to now ) and i;m feeling better already, but i thought i'd vent here anyway, so in the coming month when i moan about my flatmate(s kinda two of them) it won't be out of the blue! Now i need to cook tea and i really can't be arsed right now! Something quick with chicken oinons and potatoes is in order... //Edit: Just refreshed and saw replies...Haha pheebs cheers and kitten, beer is on the cards for tonight now, not thanks to flatmates though Last edited by LeperousDust; 08-02-2008 at 20:33. |

I had a girlfriend in my first year at uni (met her over the summer before I started). Whilst we had fun I felt like I had less fun than I could have had. By my final year - which was my best year at uni, I was single, but had SO much time to have fun. I became a fully qualifies skydiver. I passed my bike test. I was the chairman of the skydiving club. I went out lots with friends, met lots of cool people, and despite not being quite the stud you are met lots of lovely girls that I've been friends with ever since. Don't try and get too heavy/serious too quickly - have fun mate. I still feel now that I just want to break free and disappear round the world a bit and just leave it all behind. But I have too much stuff going on now. Regret is not a bad thing, but don't live with regret, take it as experience.

Well, you know where i stay if you want a break you know mum will feed you. I'm thinking about maybe getting some people together to do something, bowling maybe.
Can't give you much help with anything else i'm struggling big time with nearly everything. On the subjects of relationships, you are at university there are THOUSANDS of girls in Edinburgh! Saying that i can hardly talk, seems i'm more inept than you. Have a beer or 7. |
