Really not interested in video games anymore
It feels really weird saying this, but I have NO interest in videos games now. I used to be SO into them, but I sold my 360 and my Wii last year and I don't miss them even slightly. I have a DS, but the only games I ever play are Picross and other little puzzley brain games like that! I do not class these as video games. I spend WAY more time playing interesting little flash games online than I do anything else.
I guess it's largely to do with a huge lifestyle change - I moved away from home and realised that there's pretty much no time for things like that, between leaving home at 7:30 in the morning and getting back at 6:30, then eating, cleaning, playing with bunnies, doing freelance. Has anyone else had this (obviously not you, Davey, Leo or Haly!!)? It just feels a bit weird to not be interested in games anymore where I used to be like "omgomg, new releases!!!" /Largely pointless thread on a slow day! |

If anything I've found the reverse - I game more now than when I did at my folks. Might help that we're both into our games though - me more than Dee admittedly. It also can be something we do together - and not necessarily multiplayer, I'll sit and help her with some Zelda puzzles (on the very rare occasions she needs it!).
Gaming's just one of the things that we do. I imagine we game like some people settle down and watch TV.

Yep, I'm a lot more apathetic towards gaming these days. My mate bought me Call Of Duty 4 and it's still in the cellophane. I play CSS and a few Half Life games now and again, usually if the missus is working late and I'll kill some time before heading off to bring her home, but apart from that, I barely play anything.

I have phases where I want to play games all the time and then I'll think "meh" and not bother for a while. Usually the release of something excellent like CoD4 rekindles my interest; I'll remember how much I love games and play loads of them for a while.

I game much more now than I used to. I used to have a few of the older consoles but gradually stopped playing them. I only picked up playing again when I got the first Xbox and then a 360 last year. I don't play a massive amount...I tend to play for an hour here and there as and when it suits. Piggy doesn't play at all but is usually on her laptop or down the gym when I'm playing so it doesn't really cause any problems.

Yeah, I don't think it's really to do with living with Charlotte, although subconsciously it might be because we only have one TV! It's quite strange for me that a mate brought his Wii down at the weekend and I had absolutely no interest in it at all!
I'd forgotten about Counterstrike, though - I think I'll always play that game a little bit! |

I seem to go through phases. Sometimes I'll play every night for 2-3 hours for weeks on end and then I'll suddenly stop and do no gaming for weeks. I'm going through a stop phase just now, I hardly played at all when I was home last time and haven't touched a game at all since I came on the rig (bit of a bummer really as gaming is the sole reason I lugged the M1710 out here ). I might force myself to play a little for a couple of nights, see if I can rekindle the interest.

I find that games nowadays just don't hold my attention for very long. I'll buy a game, play it for 3-4 hours straight on the first day and then have no interest in ever playing it again. I'm hoping that COD4 is different but I only sent my 360 off for repair yesterday after it's been dead for 3 months.
The only real exception has been Forza 2 which managed to hold my attention for a whole week! I'm hoping that GT5 will hold my attention (if they ever ****ing release it) as I'm probably going to buy a PS3 just to play it |
