Tonight I have mainly been...
...crashing my MR2!
Not sure exactly what happened, was coming around a bend in the wet at about 35mph (40mph limit dual carriageway) and the steering went extremely light. End result was something that FELT like understeer right up until the armco sorted out my change of direction. Turns out that the UJ or rack has somehow become discombobulated causing a loss of a certain amount of steering, leading to my armco moment. ~30mph into some armco. I'm a bit sore. Thing is, I'll freely admit (on here) that I have seen people with identical cars do double the speed limit around that bend with no troubles, and 1.5x the limit in the wet. I decide to take it nice and slow and I get rewarded like this. The real kicker is that for the past 3 days I have been working on all the bits of the car that weren't quite right - so I have sorted out the leak, refitted loads of loose trim and stuff, fixed a knocking from the suspension etc etc. Absolutely gutted, but at least I lived through it to tell the tale. :| Kaiowas, expect a message or two from me in the next couple of days re spares |

Damn You got yourself properly looked over, even by yourself for anything you may have missed? How bad is the car? Talk about funked up bad timing.

At least you're OK and managed to get the car to safety rather than leaving it at the side of the road. Hope you don't ache too much this moring. *big hugs*

That's the problem with the wet sometimes it doesn't take much - in this case something iffy with your steering - to through you completely off. Should have just nailed the throttle tbh Would have been more fun!
At least you're "ok" - I know you're not a hypochondriac but I'd still get yourself checked out - like ya'll forced me to when I had my bike crash.

At least we have MR2 spares, but no one has DRZ spares so the main thing is that you are still in one piece. Take it easy for a few days.
