What's the secret? DIY help needed!
I'm totally useless when it comes to hanging picture hooks:
*tap* *tap* *tap* *CRACK!* *BANG* *OUCH* ***** *** ** ****y nail ** ******* $%&^*()&**&%@@@@! Bent pins, fallen plaster, big holes and even a fallen picture once. Teresa has to leave the room before I start laughing her nuts off (she has big nuts) We have just had our living room replastered and decorated and I had 6 pictures to hang. I put it off all weekend then at 2pm yesterday I took a deep breath, swallowed hard and went in. I got 2 out of 6. 2 of which are hanging in there but by the time the child minded kids have gone home, I know the whole wall will be down!! No one else seems to have these problems.. Why do I? What am I doing wrong. My kids are starting to take the piss now. #sniff# Please help

Drill hole, place rawleplug and nice pan head screw and then hang picture, hammers and nails are asking for trouble with plaster unless you have a little tiny tacking hammer and are very carefull.

What size drill bit and plug.. That's something else I can never get right. I can never find the right size bit for a plug and right sized screw for the plug.
