Default Woo hoo!

Finally managed to get tickets to see John Mayer play live at the Brixton Academy Been wanting to for years but either just missed out (they sell out within hours usually), or didn't find out 'till too late; and he all too rarely does gigs in the UK.

*dances*

and just in case I wasn't clear: WOW

Best. Gig. Ever.

Last night was just phenomenal. He's heavily pushed away from the pop stuff of his first album and EP, and focussed strongly on the more bluesy stuff he does now, and a lot of last night was made up of jams on his songs, with him and his backing musicians gelling together and improvising in phenomenal ways to create a unique, one off performance. It was just jaw droppingly, spine tinglingly good.
