Question Need some running shoes/trainers

Right, need to get back into the habit of running a few miles a week!

There's a nice park just outside the back of my house that I can run around, two laps is just over a mile.

I know there's different types of shoe for different ground and this park has quite a few paths and is quite hilly. I'll often be running on grass but I wan't to be able to run comfortably on the pavement if needs be.

I have no idea where to look, and as there's so many sporty people on here I thought I'd get some good advice

Don't have a particular budget, just not "stupid money"

I went to runners world where they popped me on a treadmill, filmed me running then slowed it down to see how I ran.

I went through about 5/6 pairs of trainers before I decided on a pair ( the first ones I tried on ) and they cost me £70

Well worth the money if you're going to be running on a regular basis!

Exactly what Piggy says.
Don't go to JJB unless they have the shoes that were suggested at a proper shop when you have your MOT done.
My original shoes cost £110 but they've come down to £70 now and worth every penny.

That's a price I'm happy with Though I tend to wear through shoes like nobodies business

That's great MB! Didn't even know that company existed! heh

It's a 2.5 Mile run to the shop from my house

Seems to be part of a MASSIVE sports complex, with 8 5 aside pitches, a full size astro turf pitch, a full size hockey pitch and a big health club, have a look

Blimey, I bet that's where my boss does 5-a-side and possibly hockey too.

I tend to buy a good cross trainer that's confortable at the time.. These normally get relegated to the gym after 3 to 4 months. I get through trainers in no time. I prefer a harder cushion rather than air with good side support.

I got some on mail order from mandmdirect, I just did a quick test at home to see if I needed support or cushioning, it basicall involves walking over a piece of paper towel with a wet foot: http://www.thefinalsprint.com/2006/1...e-right-shoes/
