Comparing avatar test

Want to see them both side to side..

Left is me recreating the text from scratch, second is me getting the text from the original picture and farting around to do a copy around the lettering and place on a transparent background. Learning Photoshop basically.

The font will be part of the Lucida family I think, so create it from scratch in PS and use the AA tool to smooth the edges. Strong/Smooth are the best for smoothing out small fonts.

Oh well spotted that man - I'd found one of the Lucidas but it wasn't quite right. I've just done a third one, which is now on the right.

For reference, here's the actual 'about' screen.

I think I'm now pretty much spot on.
