Is there not as easier way to add friends to the wii?

I just thought I'd give it a go then, i got about 4 down on the list in the sticky, and haven't even touched another list of friends yet, and it feels like its going to take about 3 weeks at this rate... There must be a sensible way of doing this? The Wii controller although great was not designed for mass input

'fraid not. Some Nintendo guy admitted the other week that the code system "isn't great". No kidding!
