Quantum of Solace: Another way to die
What does everyone think of the new bond theme?
Personally i really like it, i'm sick of everyone saying "oh its too different", bloody hell, don't we here this every time they release another bond theme? If can't always be too different! I'm giving it a lot of play time anyway, can't wait for the film either! |

Really enjoy it myself. Only issue I have is where Alicia Keys sounds like she's got some medical problem half way through. I have no idea what she's saying, its just a noise. Maybe Jack White is playing with her keys, I dunno.

It's an odd one, initially the music is good, seems quite 'Bond'.
Then they start singing and it all goes to pot, it's awful. I quite like the two of them separately but I really don't think they work well together and the song is just crap. Casino Royale was good and Chris Cornell has a great voice, really did the song well. This one though, is almost as bad as Die Another Day. Perhaps it's no coincidence the titles of the songs are so similar.

I don't object to different but I don't like that as a Bond theme. To me that style (not the song itself) would fit a Bourne movie much better than a Bond. Bond actually attempts to have an air of style and to me that's too 'in your face'. I don't know Jack White's work at all but I'm really not sure what he's adding to that (from the singing point of view at least).
Might be one I fast-forward over I'm afraid. |

The music from Bourne is probably the best from any series of action movies ever made thank you very much. Bond can keep that.

Glasgow's own or Carly Simon rule Bond themes for me. Sorry, I'm an 80's kind of guy.

I can't pick a definitive favourite. Living Daylights, Live and Let Die, View to a Kill; those are probably joint favourites.
Am I the only person that really liked Die Another Day? I think general opinion on it suffered because it was Madonna that sang it, as she was also in the film. I reckon it would have had far more praise if it hadn't been attached to a Bond film.

Not sure about the new one, not heard it till just now and my initial impressions are a bit unsure. The start, I like, very Bond like. The singing takes a bit of adjustment, but I hate the middle bit which just seems to serve no purpose imo. I'll reserve my judgement till I hear it at the start of the film as maybe it'll fit better then

I actually like the same ones as Belmit, good choice sir. Not sure about Madonna though and my jury is still out on the new one.
