(New) Guns N' Roses

**** yeah! Even though it's over a decade late, has about a million musicians on it, about a million and one layers per track and has cost $30 million to make... I'm still counting down the days. It's actually being released this time guys! I will eat a hat if it doesn't get released this day (not including being released sooner) Heard it being played on the radio a couple of times over the last few days. I don't expect everyone to be as positive about it as I am, and I do expect a lot of "It's not GnR without slash" comments, but do one

Heard the title track on R2 the other day. Was busy so couldn't give it undivided attention, but can't recall being overly impressed

If you want old skool GnR Velvet Revolver is about as close as you'll get. OK so the vocal is different but the sound is 100% GnR.
Not heard any of Axls stuff so I'll be interested to hear how it sounds.

Seen VR a couple of times, still not a huge fan. Contraband is a good album, Libertad isn't as good.
I don't think you can say the sound is GnR as whilst the musicians are the same the writing is completely different and the feel of the music is different too. Yeah the solos sound the same, but that's because slash is playing them. They played GnR tracks when I saw them, which didn't sound as good as when the new GnR played them when I saw them in 2006.

The entire album is available for streaming from their Myspace now
http://www.myspace.com/gunsnroses Soooo different for the best part of the album, a few "Vintage GnR" sounding tracks, I love it.
