OSCommerce help...
Hello hello!
I am attempting to (rather slowly) build up an oscommerce shop for my webby. I managed to get it all free (hooray!) through erm... some place (darnit... I'm with vidahost and it's one of the addons you can get) and yeh - I have been playing with the standard template and so far so good (though haven't removed their example products yet!! So when you go see I do not sell mouse mats and things ). Anyway, plonked on an addon yesterday to tailor a product box and then edited to suit. The box... is awesome... however I am completely at a loss as to how to change the rest of the boxes to look the same as that one. The addon only had instructions on how to adjust this one box and I have attempted to read the oscommerce forum support thread and change it the way they've suggested, but it just really confuses me and I think I'm doing it all wrong! I'm okay-ish at coding but not brilliant. I can fudge around, change colours, change where things are but it's more like the German language to me! I can understand more of the language than I can speak/write it Anyone have *any* idea how I can get the rest of my boxes (categories, shopping cart, quick find etc) to match the box I've just sorted? The url to what I'm playing with is www.akettleoffish.co.uk/shop and the box I want to replicate is at the bottom (New Products) jobby with a black edge and rounded corners. The addon I used is: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/1702 and the support thread on OSCommerce is:Support Thread I know they explain how to do it in the thread but to me it's just jargin!! I've pm'd the guy who set up the thread but nada back. If anyone could shed some light on this all I would be muchos appreciative! It would probably save me a gazillion years and the high possibility of me lobbing my computer at the window by the end of the day Fankoo |

I did do this when I played with OSc before. I'll have a dig around later if I can find some time and remember how it was done

Ah, this is what I did...
http://forums.oscommerce.com/index.php?showtopic=274968 No.8 has the rounded corners thing but I think it only does the top corners.

You may also want to either:
a) Disabled secure HTTP in the osCommerce options b) Set up https with your webhost

Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped writing about other things and made this your signature, yours could be like mine. Look down, back up. Where are you? You're on Boat Drinks, reading the signature your signature could be like. I'm on a computer. |

Disable who what?
I got access for the shop through my webhost... so I am presuming I'm fine there! Managed to just avoid it last week and will try again today after I've got my head round some huuuge orders |

I mean if you logout and try signing up for an account, it takes you to https://blahblah.com/shop which is normally used as a secure connection and means you need to set up the secure connection. There will probably be an option in your host's control panel

^ Yup - sounds like OScommerce is set to use https which won't work unless you purchase an SSL certificate. Fire over an e-mail to support@vidahost.com and I'll get you sorted

I think you can change that in the shops admin panel.
