Irrational things that annoy you (and non irrational things too come to think of it)
There are plenty of things in the world that annoy me with just cause but I've recently realised that I get annoyed by some really strange things so to start the ball rolling we have.......
Women in denim skirts and leggings - Now I'm not sure why this annoys me so much but whenever I see a woman in a denim skirt and leggings I have a barely controlable urge to grab their shoulders, give them a shake and shout "if your legs are cold wear some ****ing jeans!" Now a denim skirt with tights I'm fine with but leggings just look so stupid with a denim skirt it actually makes me angry. Here endeth the fashion advice. wonders if he should start taking his pills again |

When people call mp3 players 'ipods', even if the one they own isn't an ipod. Small thing that i should shrug off, after all, people still call Dysons 'hoovers' and that doesn't bother me despite being pretty much the same thing surely?
Not in my mind it seems, lose at least a pint of water due to blood boilage each time it happens. Never say anything though, don't want people to realize what a freak I am.

A couple of things that really don't matter much in the grand scheme of things but for some reason, really wind me up are:

When the housemate can't see anything wrong with leaving a huge window (or three) open 24/7 even when the house is empty.
Hang on, that's not irrational is it? Well, it is in her mind. Quote:
For point 2 - ditto but in the staff canteen. ARgh. |

The plane thing bothers me too Stan. Completely agree.
My list is so extensive I have to think of my top few, else I fear I shall be here all day!

I did that. Those were my top two - there are many, many more I am a grumpy old man.

People humming to themselves - I don't know why it irritates me so much, as some people have nice voices and can make a nice noise when humming, but when they do it I really just want and shout at them to either sing the song properly or be quiet, not something in the middle.
People dawdling around in supermarkets - I don't like going to supermarkets at the best of times, so people who move idly around and getting in my way make me want to run them over with a trolley. 99% sure I'm not alone in feeling this though.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. |

I think the smallest thing:biggest annoyance ratio for me has to be when a website 'loads' the back button. You know the ones - you click on a link, then when you click the back button it just redirects back to the same page. Far from keeping me on that site it makes me blacklist it, never to be returned to.
