Electric Shaver - Recommendations?

I'm getting bloody bored of wet shaving. I just can't be bothered any more and I was wondering if it was worth going down the route of an electric shaver?
Is it any quicker and simpler than a wet shave?

If so, any of you guys (or hairy girls) got any recommendations? Looking at sub £100 if possible but I want something that will last. Getting a cheap toy one that breaks in 6 months isn't what I want

Well from my experience of electric shavers you have 2 choices with regards to foils. Round and straight ones.

The first shaver I got was round one which shredded my throat so I changed to a straight rectangular one. Since then Kitten got me a philishave thingy with cream which is much better. To be honest though nothing gives me as close a shave as a wet shave.

TBH, closeness doesn't really bother me. 10 minutes after a shave and I'm stubbly again anyway

Do you find it easier and faster than wet? I think that's my only problem with a wet shave is that it's a bit more time consuming. I want to just buzz something over my face for 30 seconds a few times a week. Or am I overestimating how good an electric shaver is?

Was looking at the Argos one you linked to earlier on Amazon. Just reserved it at Argos now in case I want to pick it up tomorrow.

In my experience fella you are giving leccy shavers too much credit

unless it's because I have a weird face I found wet shaves to be smoother and actually quicker assuming you use the right stuff.

I found with the foil shaver I had it needed alot more concentration to get it right and even then when I rubbed my hands over my face they didn't feel smooth. The rotary shaver was better but I just had trouble with my neck and getting rid of all the hair otherwise I'd miss patches.

Des if you don't want a close shave and just want to scrub up, just go buy a £30 remington one. Does the job perfect mine tugs a little now (but its 4 years old and on its second charger!) Mine isn't meant to get wet and i've taken it in the shower. It's indestructable and does a perfect job, its only a trimmer, but tbh its fiiiiine

It's no good for "close shave" but for trimming and keeping under control its perfect, and i've just saved you £70 to spend on something fun

Takes me a few mins dry or wet to scrub up and look "presentable" with my shaver and i can do it without a mirror now quite easily.

//Edit: Here is the new version of mine that looks exactly the same...

I use one of these as I hate being clean shaven. Shortest setting gives a nice 5 o'clock shaddow

Yeah pretty much on the same theme as me

As i said just get the cheapest something around £30 will do the job just as well as £100 if you only want a trim!

I use that one also, bloody handy really because if I'm not careful a wet shave will bring my neck out in a rash and a leccy shaver never gets rid of all the hairs properly.
