eBay timing
When would you say the best time is to end an auction? I was thinking Sunday evening, possibly the last of the month as people have more cash then. I'm selling my old SPV M700 to recoup some of the cash I forked out for the preciousssssss.

I think there's a thread around here somewhere that you can use as a general consensus, but my own opinion is that Sunday evening's the best for "rarer" items.
For more commen items a Monday or Tuesday evening.

I'd also go with Monday or tuesday evening, about 9pm.. most people are in then so are able to get caught up in bidding fever

I'd be inclined to go for the first weekend of the month - most people who get paid monthly get their money at the end of the month. I think weekends are best as people have more time to follow the auction then. On a weekday, by the time one finishes work, eats, gets kids ready for bed, does housework, the last thing I would want to do would be faff about on ebay.
I'd go for Sunday evening. I can imagine thinking "What shall I do, watch Songs of Praise or bid on Wryel's knocked off mobile on ebay?" These are opinions based on how I think and may be at complete odds with how the rest of civilisation thinks.

A few years ago I used to sell a fair bit on eBay and did some research into selling. At the time, Friday afternoon was considered to be the best time. People had the weekend feelgood factor so were more likely to bid higher. That added to the Friday pay day syndrome should lead to more impulse buys. Whether there is any truth in this, who knows

Early sunday evening would say 7ish, after last Friday of the month.
Or do what I do, buy now with best offer. I think this is by far the best way. If people want it fast they can, rather than waiting.
