Spam phone calls
I missed a call from an 0845 number to my mobile, not that I normally answer these calls anyway, but I looked the number up to see who it was.
0845 293 0006 http://www.phonespamfilter.co.uk/search.php/08452930006 It's a scam! So how can they get away with that then?

I'm fairly sure (call logs gone now) that's the number Thames Water used to contact me when I owed them money, but I didn't pay anything from their call, I sorted it myself at a later date by calling them.
I now no longer owe them money.

Yeah, a few others seem to have suggested that. Sounds like it's a collections agency calling on behalf of Thames Water.
They've never called me (that I recall), but I pay by DD so that's probably why. |

I was getting a BT number calling me three times a day a couple of weeks ago. Did a search and turns out it's a BT reseller trying to get you to buy services. One of which is a call blocking service. Nunnnnnnng!

I keep getting texts and phone calls from Setanta on my work phone. Some dope has put my number down for someone else's account, and it doesn't matter how many times I tell them...
It's in the hands of vodafone now (who'll probably ignore it as they're crap). |

When they called me it was actually Thames Water calling me direct...
If they call again find out what they want, contest it and ask for the customer services number then verify it from the Thames Water website and call them up (use saynoto0870 for a proper number) and get it cleared up. Or release the hounds!
