Panasonic DVD-RV60

I have one of these, which was left up at the back of the loft when we moved in. Its got no remote, and no box/instructions.

When watching a DVD on it, after a little while the DVD stops reading and the drive locks up - it wont eject or anything. If its then left for a while, it can be turned on and the disc removed.

Is it worth looking at getting this fixed? I've been searching trying to find reviews on it and it seems a good bit of kit - (or at least it was in 2000-2001).

Anyway, should I scrap it, or try and fix it, or get it fixed? Anyone know anything about this bit of kit? I think we should bin it, but it looks in such good nick..

Sounds like overheating. Stick a fan in it.
