I'm still having a read around and investigate but it looks interesting and I might give it a try later.

That looks rather nice. I've had a play with the Ubuntu Netbook Remix and wasn't that impressed with it. I might have a go at reinstalling my ultraportable with Win7 and this during the week.

Tried the live image, now installing to the Mini 9. It's a really polished UI, quite surprised by it. Been searching for a netbook interface for a while and this is... really quite fun actually.

Are you dual booting it? Do you know if that's at all possible?

I'm assuming it can run from / be booted from a USB stick?

Not dual booting no, the mini gets trashed a lot Booted/installed from a usb stick. You'll be able to dual boot it but I didnt notice if the installer handles it for you.

Have had a quick look booting from the live image and it looks ok. I'll see if I can dual boot with it as I'm not keen on installing it straight off (for one thing, I've not long spent a considerable amount of time installing Windows and loads of music/movies etc after upgrading the HDD on my NC10 to 500GB and I don't fancy doing it all again). I'll need to be sure it dual boots ok and that I can access my media from the Windows bit.

rpm based package management, not really had a poke around the repos though beyond installing flash with yum. There is a gui add/remove app though.
