Funny thing is, I seem to remember one of the contenders in years past being a Japanese girl (notice I didn't say woman) that couldn't have been more than 110 pounds soaking wet. This girl made Paris Hilton look obese, and yet she could pack away the hotdogs like a starving sumo wrestler...

That would be Gyaru Sone http://www.wired.com/culture/lifesty.../2007/02/72640 She's super famous over here. One of the many Japanese TV "Tarento" that usually one trick ponies that only last a year or two. She's been going strong for the last couple of years though! I find her kind of creepy TBH! |

I sat and watched "Competetive Eating" on Challenge one night, I was amazed by the amount and the methods people used to stuck obscene amounts of food away.
When I was a student, we went to the Pizza Hut alla you can eat night (think it cost £3 back then), the most I ever ate was 9 slices of Pizza and 2 plates of pasta and I'm a fatty. I've seen and heard of people puting away 20+ slices of pizza,

Aniamals, how this is a sport and its on tv in the states and probably Japan, I was told if you want to win an eating competition you had to train by eating as much as you can to get your stomach fully prepard and that is knows how far it can expand and to get it going huge for all the food you are putting in it. People think eating less is the best way to prepare.
I wonder if they bring it all back up after if not they must block the toilet a few times and doing untold damage to their body. |

Same. I can't even watch it & won't click on it, Bad manners at the table disgust me & I once head butted a Dude for eating to fast. (was in DC at the time but still)
I eat alone most of the time as others eat like Pigs, Making noises, eating with there mouth open, Not using a napkin, Elbows on the table, You wanna **** me off instantly then put me off my food. |
