I fell in love today...
Went out to Sainsburys to grab some food. Pulling up in the carpark was an absolutely mint 1970 Ferrari Dino 246 GT in black.
In the driving seat was a mid 20's Irish redhead. *just my type. * Just stood there as the car pulled up and she got out - just said "Nice car" Found out from a little chat afterwards that it's her dads which had just been serviced and she was driving it home. He's owned it from new - never restored, only regularly serviced - only got 21'000 miles on it. I want! Not the readhead... *well...ish* but I've lived with a readhead before so I know that it's fun until it all blows up.. But the car - One of the few cars that I would sell everything for. Strange for me as it's a Ferrari. I'm off to Pistonheads ads to drool...

Hell no.
Drive a red Ferrari - everyone thinks you're a cock and no-one lets you out at junctions etc... Drive a black Ferrari - you've got class - but still a cock... Quote:
265GTA? Thats the one that looks like the E-Type...

I saw a black ferrari in the garage at Harvey Nichols, it had the most amazing paint job, looked like crude oil. You could've shaved in it, from about 5 feet away.

My favourite Ferrari is the Dino, The only time I've got near one though was Eons ago at the Jaguar Museum in Maldon, They had one at the back of the work shop that had been stripped back to metal. I sat in it loads of times & even talked to it, My 2nd favourite is the Daytona but that is only because one of them has a passenger foot well that I fabricated myself from fibreglass including the trick contoured step.
Sad story about the daytona was that it was picked up by IRS as the owner owed loads of tax. Thinking about it now it's been so long I wonder if it's even called a Daytona. Big Yanky looking convertible Ferrari, Meh Whatever My motoring claim to fame is driving a Silver 265GTA that was in Le Mans the year I was born but then knowing my memory it was probably a Mini Cooper that done the Monte Carlo or summit. + |

I'd take any of the old Ferraris over a new one any day.
