Singapore Noodles
Not sure if many people know, but mid-season GP Leon came up with the idea of cooking themed meals for every GP.
So, this week was Singapore. The first thing that comes to mind when anyone mentions Singapore is noodles, so that's exactly what I did. I must admit, I'm not a massive fan of stir fries. I do like them, but sometimes find them just a bit... eerrr... nondescript? Anyway, I found this recipe on Good Food and decided to have a go as it looked quite nice. I had to use "Singapore" noodles rather than the fine rice ones, but it was still absolutely delicious. It looks like a lot of ingredients, but it's so simple and I'm very glad that I have enough ingredients to cook it again Singapore Noodles Serves 6 (I roughly 1/3'd the ingredients) Ingredients
2. Heat some oil in a wok and fry the pork until it is browned and just cooked through, tip onto a plate. Add the prawns and fry until cooked. 3. Add a little more oil to the wok and fry the garlic and ginger until light brown. Add the onion and pepper and cook until just beginning to soften, then add the spices and cook for a minute. 4. Add the bean sprouts, noodles and about 2 tbsp water and toss everything together. 5. Add the soy sauce, some seasoning and chives and stir for another minute. 6. Push the noodles to one side of the wok and drop in the eggs. Cook, stirring for 1 minute then stir through the noodles. 7. Add the pork and prawns back to the wok and toss through the noodles. 7. Serve with sliced chillies sprinkled on top and lime wedges to squeeze over. I had some prawns left over so I made 'Crispy Chilli Prawns' on the side to go with it. Crispy Chilli Prawns Ingredients
1. Mix the flour, chilli powder and turmeric in a bowl and toss the prawns to coat. 2. Heat the oil on a medium/high heat and add the spring onions. Cook until starting to soften. 3. Tip in the prawns and cook for 5-6 mins until completely opaque and brown/crispy on the outside P.S. Apologies for any spelling mistakes. I've had a couple of glasses of wine

I did it for pretty much the first half of the year, then I lost interest for a few races both food and F1.
My favourite so far has been the roasted goat.

Trust Mei Mei to piss all over my fire
May I suggest that you write a letter of complaint to BBC Good Food for tricking me then please? http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/3...gapore-noodles B*****DS!!!! The chilli prawns I got of a Singaporean food website, so you can bog off if you're going to tell me they're not authentic either
