Chelmsford egg plant on fire again...
Don't know why they didn't knock the green eyesore down last time. Says 8 fire engines but when I went down there (didn't know anything about it, just wanted my hair cut!) there was 5. Building has been empty for years and a while back an annexe was burnt out and eventually demolished.
Springfield road is mullered because victoria road is shut for anyone heading that way. Quote:

Maybe they mean they've strapped hoses to the back of monitor lizards and sent them in?
Indeed Matt, apparently the building is listed (why????) so maybe that's why the thing hasn't gone already. Apparently there's a burned out car round the back - the place is used as a car park (I wanted to park there this morning!) and people often leave their cars there overnight after a night on the town. Think someone might have a suprise when they go to collect! The scorched white patch is where the last fire was in an annexe that has recently been demolished. The houses to the right are the ones evacuated. Last edited by Nutcase; 17-10-2009 at 13:38. |

That was my first thought too
I imagine it looks slightly better in a smutty kind of way and am sure it would indeed be improved in a horizontal way.
