Please vote for me!
pingg.com is having a competition for iconic photos of San Francisco and one of my images was chosen as a finalist!!! Please vote for mine (#2, Melissa Crain) with the Alamo Square skyline in front and the city in the back at night. If I win I get a point and shoot camera... but most of all bragging rights for being an award-winning photographer
Thanks BD!!! http://www.pingg.com/content/san-frans-finest-vote-now/

You've got some stiff competition there, some of them are pretty good. Yours is also very good and a bit different from most which appeals so I've voted.

Yeah John Flemming has a good one - but they're all of the Golden Gate Bridge, and I knew most of them would be, which was why I entered something different. Most people have seen the view from that spot during the day but I got one at night which is different but still iconic SF. Until a few days ago I lived a block away from that spot too!

I don't normally vote for these but I really like your picture. It almost looks like a row of model houses, there's just something about it I really like

Those are known as the painted ladies - a famous group of victorian houses built in the 1880s (old for around here!) all painted different colors across from a park on a hill.

I don't do the vote for me threads either... but I'm happy to do yours. For me the golden gate is just too overdone. I liked your picture and Arin Fishkin's best, but yours edged it for me with the old and new SF. Good luck
