Glee
I'm not sure if/when this will hit the UK. Given the resounding success it's been over here I imagine it will do.
Glee is a comedy/musical/drama set around a "Glee club" (song and dance group) at a high school. It's reasonably funny with particularly memorable characters amongst it's number, but sadly dips a little too close to Dawsons Creek at times as the main plot line involving the kids revolves around Quinn (cheerleader), Finn (star Quarter back) and Puck, with Quinn being pregnant by Puck, but hiding her unfaithfulness by telling Finn he's the father. For the most part it's pretty good clean fun though, and the Dawsons moments don't occur often enough to wreck it for me. The most standout aspect of all though is the music. It's not a musical in the sense that people will just randomly burst out into a large song and dance number, the music almost all tends to revolve around Glee club practices and similar. The group of actors and actresses they've gathered together are an amazingly talented bunch, and the performances are done in generally unique styles. Not sure if you can view these (I hope so), but the standout songs for me this season: - Sadly no full video clip, they were all hyped on some over the counter drugs, dancing around like hyperactive chipmunks. - Poignant given some of the events leading up to it.

Funnily enough, was going to start a thread on this but got caught up with Rock Band. Love this show, have seen all 13 (?) episodes now and it does get a lot better than the pilot. Some great singing moments in there. Can't wait for it start up again.

Good news for "Gleeks" (Glee fans) It's been renewed for a second season. Not a huge surprise given the number of award nomination and such that it's received.

Meant to watch this but forgot so going to watch it on E4 +1 now - trailers made me think of High School Musical turned into a series though.
