What decent TRS 3.5mm jack lead?

I am sick to the back teeth of paying for a new long extension over and over again to have it dead within about 6 months of continued use. Yes these leads are only a few quid, but its hassle and they sound gash for a while before they finally go pop.

So what should i be buying, how much should i look to spend and is it really worth it, or should i just buy 10 of my normal cheapo ones for the same price and put up? Just need some decent choices other than a random overpriced highstreet shop or a cheap as chips internet supplier.

As you can probably guess i've just tried my current cable and its finally died and i taped it up in a strange position to make it work for a little longer

Solution: Stop yanking the plugs out by the cable.

Usually it's the ends that let go. If you're handy with a soldering iron you could always cut the end off and replace it (and pot the result if you must - after making absolutely sure it works).

Looked into cuttin off and replacing, but the parts for the end where about the same (or more) as a cheap cable job and i'm fairly sure my soldering skills are only up to chinese knock of standard. Its not so much my yanking out by cable its the fact i use my laptop whilst its plugged in so theres a lot of movement at the jack end. It definitely gets abused, i need something to resist this. Apart from wireless audio theres little else i can do with the placement of the connector.

Standard male 3.5mm jack on one end, what's on the other?

Either a standard 3.5 male or female. Preferablly male since that would be one less connection, but either really would be fine
