My netbook is dying
I tried to install the iPlayer desktop app via Adobe Air and Chrome and somewhere in there something went wrong and Windows is going mad about everything being corrupt.
I rebooted and it tried to do a Chkdsk on boot but then refused saying it couldn't do so because of a recently installed program and so I needed to run System Restore. OK, try that, no go, it says the disk is corrupt and I should run chkdsk. I can't open the Administrative Tools section of Control Panel either as it is apparently too corrupt. I've uninstalled Air (iPlayer never did finish installing) but still no luck. It has also forgotten the WiFi network key... I'm at a complete loss as to what has happened in the last 20 minutes and how I can fix it without reinstalling Windows :S

Managed to sort it today, someone suggested I use the Repair Your Computer option by hitting F8 on boot and this allowed chkdsk /r to run properly and that sorted things.
