Easter shock horror: Optical Express.
Woah, close shave, I just spotted in the diary I have an eye test today! Today? Easter Monday? Surely some mistake?
Nope. Optical Express are open today and I definitely have an eye appointment. Poor staff!

I had my eyes tested on Saturday at Dolland and Aitchison and they commented then that they were open on Monday and booked pretty much solid.

I think it's disgraceful! What happened to having an Easter break?

A hell of a lot of people have to work bank holidays. Anyway how much is an eye test and how do you go about getting contacts. Also laser eye surgery do they like 12-24months of eye tests before they operate? or can you just have one test and get done, as I haven't had mine done for years and need to go get sorted.

I had one a couple of weeks back and it was 20 quid. God bless being able to claim it back on works health plan. No idea on the contact lenses thing sorry, I didn't need any type of prescription. I can ask me Mum if no one on here pops up, but I am sure someone will.

I wish someone would pass this message on to the owners of the shops here in Vejle. Despite the shops only being open from 10:00 to 14:00 on Saturdays (this catches me out every weekend), they took last Thursday off too. Out of the 5 days, the non-food shops were open for a total of 4 hours.
I'm not sure where I stand on working over bank holidays. Part of me says that we all end up doing it as a youth, so maybe it's a right of adulthood.

I had this one year when I worked at Accessorize. We were the only shop open in the station other than the coffee stand. I don't think a customer came in the shop until after we'd been open for 3 hours
