Default CAD /3d drawing package

Can anyone recommend a CAD drawing package for use under windows. I'm not after the ultimate package but I need to be able to draw say a box section and then rotate it about in a 3d view and specify drilling points.

The main reason is I know what I want to build in my mind, but I'm struggling drawing it formally to show anyone. e.g. isometric 3d drawing (I suck at it).

Sketchup

Sounds perfect for what you're suggesting; it is very easy to use (notably so in comparison to other CAD programs), can produce all kinds of output for technical, presentation or engineering requirements, plus it's free!

I'm sure you can find yourself a copy of this and get cracking on it, but if you do want any help with it - or require something more detailed (i.e. Autocad details) then don't hesitate to get in touch with me via PM / msn etc

Sketchup was my first though too. You can do some great stuff with it, the last version I used was ages ago so it's probablt far better now too.
