New Lenses.... HELP!
Trying to track down a couple of lenses for a mate and I to use.
We're after a 24 or 28 prime and a 105/110 macro lens. Been looking on TP & various forums and not coming up with much. Not picky about specifics yet, will check out reviews and take advice for anything that's available. Can you guys keep your eyes open and let me know if you see anything around for what you'd consider to be a decent price? Ta muchly

Don't know what end of the market you're looking at (mine... or L glass) but I've got a Sigma 105mm macro and even my friend with a 40d & L glass is impressed by it. I picked mine up 2nd hand and its superb. I'll go have a quick look around, but otherwise, keep an eye out for one!
doesn't look like theres currently one on TP, but there are two decent quality photos of the lens; http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/a...o/IMG_4987.jpg http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/a...o/IMG_4992.jpg http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_t...All-Categories Last edited by Joe 90; 06-07-2010 at 23:19. |

That's the same lens I have (as well as a 40D and L glass ) and it's probably my favourite lens of the lot, that's why my mate is after a 105mm He's a bit dubious about ebay, but as you say, TP has nothing really at the moment. How much did you pay? I think I got mine for around £120 (which was an absolute bargain in hindsight)

Yeah that really is a bargain. Had mine about 2 or 3 years. I think I paid about £180!

I was going to suggest the Canon 100mm macro... until I looked at the price of them recently. Glad I got mine when I did Bloody brilliant lens though

Thanks MB, not quite what he's looking for, but thanks anyway.
