Sherlock
Anybody else seen this? I watched it for the first time last night and didn't think much of it, despite all the rave reviews I've heard.
It just seemed a little dumbed down for me. It's quite obvious what he's thinking most of the time as there are visual clues on screen yet the script makes him tell you exactly what he's thinking all the bloody time. It also seems a little childish with some of the scenes (last night he broke in to a house but wouldn't let Watson in, instead preferring to look around for clues on his own and then getting attacked). I know it's meant to be a bit of fun as well but you can't juggle serious and fun in the same show. One or the other please. If it stuck to fun I wouldn't watch it, if it stuck to serious I probably would. As it tries to be both I'll not be watching again

The first episode was really good, this one not so much.

It's not pants Del, it's just not as good as the first one. It's suffering from it's own success I think!

Haven't seen any, don't want to. I saw a couple of trailers and a couple of interviews with the main actors and just thought "what a waste of a good idea". They should have concentrated on dark and serious.
Also, from what I've seen of it, it looks like it slips into the same production style as Doctor Who and Robin Hood, a style I absolutely loath. I may be wrong about that, but it looked like it from the trailers. |

Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped writing about other things and made this your signature, yours could be like mine. Look down, back up. Where are you? You're on Boat Drinks, reading the signature your signature could be like. I'm on a computer. |

You're spot on, if you don't like Dr Who/Robin Hood then you won't like it. I really enjoyed Sundays episode, it wasn't as good as the previous weeks but it was still bloody good tv. |
