I need a Navigation app, Stat!
I'm doing some navigating tomorrow, and i'd really not rather have to use my brain. Problem is i still have found a half decent android navigation app. Google navigation does great for quick runs. But in practice its fairly annoying and not professional, also it doesn't locally store maps.
Freeer the better But i guess i'm willing to pay if its decent, there are a few paid ones on there, but i don't want to shell out if they're poor quality and finding decent reviews of nav apps online is proving testing... If anyone can help i'd be muuuucho greatful, otherwise debs is navigating tomorrow and trust me, you do not want to wish that upon me or anyone! |

ndrive is brilliant on Iphone and they do it on android as well. Was only £5 no idea if that will be the same though, I think that was a special offer.

Hmmmm seems pretty good actually, along with that i've just seen that sygic also does navigation for android, and co pilot obviously as well...
Think they're my only 3 decent choices... Co Pilot is the most expensive NDrive & Sygic similar in price NDrive and Co Pilot on android offer navigational POI alerts (ie no alerts for cameras on the opposite side of the road ) So i think that leaves sygic out for now, but i need to find decent reviews on how well either of the other two work, and tbh there really aren't many... Still thats a good start before work |

Plenty of people on AVF were more than happy with NDrive on the iPhone so you might find some reviews there.

Yeah i've just noticed they've got a 7 day trial, so that's actually perfect if it does everything i want over the next few days i'll buy it
So it hasn't had a thorough navigation testing (it will do in a few hours ) but this seems a pretty decent app! Last edited by LeperousDust; 11-08-2010 at 08:15. |
