Anyone fancy making me a favicon?
I'm crap at designing stuff but I'd like a favicon for my blog: http://qso365.co.uk
I've done one which is rubbish. Anyone able and willing to knock something up that's significantly better please? I used http://www.favicon.cc/ which seems as good as anyway to do it. Mine looks like a three year old did it!

I've always stuggled with them too. I usually end up doing something in photoshop and then using save to web and scaling it down to 32x32 or 16x16 to see how it looks. If it's OK I'll use it. Can be hard to get something that works so small though, I think there's deffo an art to it.

You need high contast colour & simple shapes. You'll struggle to get that looking ok as there's so much in it.

It doesn't necessarily need to be the site name, something related to radio would do the job but I have the artistic talent of a small undecided slug.
/edit. See. I just slugged this up.

Maybe a bit too abstract for a 'radio' connection?

Icons in general are a pain in the butt! So difficult to express anything meaningful in 16x16.
Sorry I was no help at all. |

A potato wearing lippy?
I kid, but i'd have to say no, it's too busy, can't really see what it is without leaning in and having a good look, at normal distance it just looks like a mish mash of colours.
