ZOMG EARTHQUAKE!!!!1111oneoneoneone
*rushes to USGS site*
Preliminarily rated at 3.6 but at only 4km deep it was fairly shallow so much more noticeable. Hit at 2:12 pm HST, whilst some of us were chatting in the office. http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquak...pt11056000.php NE of Honolulu, SW of Waimanalo (the town just down the road from my home in Kailua). It was Interesting feeling, kind of like when a large heavy lorry bounces past your building, but imagine that going on constantly for a minute.

QUICK! TO THE INTERNETS!
Rather less severe than the NZ one though, so hopefully no harm done. |

Absolutely none as far as I'm hearing, just the usual storm of tweets from Hawaii people.
looks like it's creeping steadily south-west and deeper, now reported the epicenter as being 21.180°N, 157.550°W, about a 3rd of the way to Molokai, at 19km deep.
