Default Firefox doing funnies Help !

After the PC sudden reboot( on its own) earlier, windows loaded back up but Firefox has been funny since.

Basically I want Firefox to look like this when it opens, where the bookmarks tool bar is, the size as well.

Instead it looks like this, the bookmarks is at the bottom, the size is way too small. How keep trying to change it, but if i close and open it again, it forgets it.
Is there anyway to make it remember?

Didn't expect starting a new profile to screw up like that, but nowt I can do about it now. Sorry.

Although, I found another bit of profile in:

\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Maybe both bits have to go (although you can of course save bookmarks.html).

The only time I've had to rebuild a Firefox install before, I got rid of all trace of it (profiles, install directory, registry, the lot), and started again.

If you go that route, you'll have to put all your extensions back afterwards, but you'll at least be starting from clean.
