Decided to give this newsgroup malarky a whirl
And so far, I'm a little lost. Thought I'd give it a go for a month (Easynews) and see how I got on with it instead of torrents. So far, I'm struggling to find which newsgroups actually contain what I want.
So where should I be looking guys? Regularly I want TV shows (I'm short 1 24 Episode for example), music by British artists (Bloc Party, The Rakes and Maximo Park all have albums out or imminent that I want), I'll want to download C&C3 when it comes out (buying it on 360 is enough) and the very occasional film. Where do you suggest I look? [edit]Oh, and Dee wants Rollercoaster Tycoon (which I could download via torrent at the moment), so that's a good place to start as well

I'd go with giganews tbh
http://www.giganews.com/ If I had a credit card I'd sign up in a shot. They have 1200 days retention and all the bells and whistles. My sister's BF downloads all the latest blu-ray/HD DVD films and TV shows. |

No I think Giganews is totally separate.
Ah sorry - in some ways yes, but it accesses more - 85,000 to be precise (hopefully). With 100 days binary retention and 1300 days text retention. |

I think I've got a copy of Rollercoaster Tycoon on the external hd if you want it.
Although I've just packed it and won't have a cd burner till the weekend but can sort you out then if you want.

Its a few pence for the service but its really useful, get yourself a copy of Grabit as well http://www.shemes.com/ Then download the .nzb files from Newzbin and open them in Grabit Thats all you need If you want to give Newzbin a try without paying I can lend you my ID for a while. MB |

I wouldnt mind a look MB if that's possible, or if you'd prefer to keep that info private I could give you some things to hunt for? Your call
Torrents are becoming a bit more of a chore, I'm just not sure I'll have access to such a large amount of files over newsgroups.
