Overlord and The Darkness
I polished off The Darkness the day before yesterday.
I must say its a very good game, kind of like a cross between Max Payne, Dark Corners of the Earth and Vampire Masqerade. Its well put together with some excellet plot twists, if you are think about getting it then don't read any indepth reviews which mention the plot, you don't want spoilers! As an FPS it isn't one of the finest and as an adventure its a little light but as a horror adventure it will have you on the edge of your seat. Graphics wise the human modeling is great, the faces are perfect, although there are slight glitches like NPCs getting trapped in cut scenes and the such like but its forgivable. The only thing I can possibly say bad is that multiplayer doesn't seem all that good. Not a huge issue for me as I prefer single player stuff but for some it might be a downer. I also wasn't too sure about the guns, they are a big part of the game but don't seem that well balanced, most seem to do the same damage, from pistol to assault rifle. I've just started Overload so will report back later when I have some spare time. MB |

Sounds ideal for the sort of game Mrs. Feek would like. She loves Vampire Masqerade and is really gutted that it won't run on the PC any more. It's a common fault with no fix apart from an OS blat and hope.
What's the second hand price like for it? Still fairly high I'd imagine.

Bloodlines is the one. There's a bug where when it's run, it starts up and then crashes to desktop. Fairly widely reported, various suggestions for a fix but none of them worked for me.
Sorry MB, we've drifted somewhat.
