Half-life 2: Episode Two, Portal and Team Fortress 2
This package isn't out until October (fingers crossed) but it's one of the only games that I'm actually excited about being released - something that I haven't experienced since, well, probably Episode 1.
The only other games I'm looking forward to are GTA IV, Bioshock and possibly Halo 3. I'm hoping they haven't changed the engine much and that it'll run comfortably at full settings on my old machine, as the original game and Episode 1 did. Even the Lost Coast demo did well with the new effects. The freebies (essentially) that they're bundling with it look great too, and not just like a couple of extras but something with actual substance. Someone posted about Portal a while back and I've been looking forward to it ever since: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=if3Qv2tHyfA Freaky! And I think it'd be great to get some multiplayer TF2 going: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvC5aWrrSx8 I think it's coming out on both PC and console (360 at least) and I may well be inclined to get it for both, as the multiplayer part will be much easier to set up on Live. Can't wait.

Nothing to add except that I saw the Portal demo the first time around and I nearly had to retire to a darkened room after watching that.

Portal looks so cool it's unreal. 'The Orange Box' on console contains HL2, and episodes 1 & 2. Bargain. I think this sums it up:

I'm getting that. Never played HL2 as my machine wasn't good enough. I did love the first so that is on my shopping list

I'll be getting that, without a doubt. Portal looks awesomely confusing but fun.

I was dubious seeing the style of TF2 the first time around, but it's really grown on me.
There's nothing you can really say about Portal. It's just innovative gaming bliss.
