Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
Started last Thursday on More4 and tbh I thought it had potential but wouldn't be up to much. I've just watched the first 2 episodes and my left hand is slaping my right hand to stop me heading off to my favorite Torrent site to download the whole series.
Quote:
First impressions. The savage attack on American TV that opens the series certainly hits home and engaged me fantastically well. The banter/relationship between the writer and producer are as real as any real life friendship I have seen. Very good writing. Reflects what is happening in TV at the moment (I won't say any more as it will give the game away). If you don't have the oportunity to catch up with this series with 4oD/torrents, and to be honest you don't want to join at episode 3, keep an eye out for it on Channel 4 in the future. It will be a Tuesday/Thursday 9pm show that deserves to pull in a big audience. |

I love it I'd heard a bit about it so downloaded the series so I can watch it at my own pace, only managed to get to around episode 4 so far though.
Really good show though, it's reinspired me to watch the West Wing again. Pity it got cancelled after one season though

I also love it. Apparently it got slated because it protrayed TV production in a bad light but I thought it was a really enjoyable show. I'm glad they allowed them to do a full series so they could at least wrap up a few things. If you think its good now, wait till later on. It really really annoyed me that they canceled the show, especially after seeing the end few episodes. It could have been a really good long show.

Looked good in the ads but I have to admit I missed it when it was on.

I caught bits of it, seemed to be really good.
I too will be downloading it (as soon as I've finished Heroes).

Just finished watching the first 14 over the period of 2 days *surgery recovery SUCKS!*
Loving it. Shame it will only be the one series. Have to say it's one of the smartest pieces of american TV that I've seen in years! Simon/~Flibster
