After some free, basic video capture and edit software
We'd like to use the webcam to record the kittens, so require some software to sit and capture for a while. After that, we'd need to chop out the quiet bits to make it web friendly.
Any suggestions guys? |

I'll have a play with VirtualDub tomorrow to see what it'll do. Certainly does cropping but not sure about anything else.
I'm sure Daz has already checked, but just in case, does the WebCam have any useful software supplied, or anything about that's free and Linux-ish? |

Not really checked on the Linux front - there likely will be (I remember something in KDE), but it would be easier in doze this time as we're working on the laptop.
Nothing with the camera at all - it's the 360 Live Vision camera, just works with XP/Vista as a bonus.
