Rest In Peace, Dame Anita Roddick

Meant to mention this last night. Such a shame to see so wonderful a lady cut down before her time. An Entrepreneur par excellence, and an example to business women (and men) everywhere; a strong and clear voice that successful business and a conscience can easily and successfully go hand in hand.

RIP Dame Anita Roddick
no doubt a much loved mother, wife and friend undeniably a top entrepreneur however... £652m for the body shop, sold to l'oreal, who openly admit to animal testing and one of their largest shareholders is nestle, who roddick herself campaigned against on a number of occasions she back-tracked on her on philosophy of consumer activism and many consumers still see body shop as an 'ethical company' as it was never 'correctly' rebranded it is always a shame to see good people taken before their time and i hope her positive contribution to fair trade and ethical testing lives on |
