Woaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!! Not a medical thread... nope not at all.... really ;)
So. I was wondering, I have always thought of getting your ears syringed as something you have done as a child (I think I was about 7).
I can't remember having it done since then :/ but can only hear about 90% out of my right ear. Has anyone had them syringed as an adult and are you allowed? Thanks! BB x |

Yeah my Dad often has it done. In theory it should improve his hearing but I think he's going deaf anyhow

I see no reason why you shouldn't be allowed.
If it'll help, then do it. |

I had to have it done a couple of years ago - isn't pleasant but they do still do it for adults

I avoid getting them syringed, it can be quite uncomfortable I've found
Ear Candles FTW! http://www.lynnehancher.co.uk/aaahop.htm Regularly listening to loud music I get a big build up of wax and junk, usually cotton buds dipped in olive oil do the trick for me, I know my ear inside out so I know where I can and can't stick the things and I usually manage to clean them safely. If there is a big block and I can't hear properly then candles all the way, strangely sothing too.

They're not scary, they sound funky when they're burning and are quite soothing because of the warmth.
