Default Selling like hot cakes..

I've been selling Novatech PCs like hot cakes..

I've just had my 5th order in 2 two weeks. For an additional £50, the unit is ordered and delivered to me. I then install all the updates, virus and spyware protection. Once done, the PC is delivered to their home and set-up. There an additional £25 for Data Migration and basic training too.

Some guy the other day, had the works including a couple of hours training

Do you get any markup on the actual PC?

Do you build/configure PCs for a living? I used to do it and loved the work but my boss was a complete **** so I left.

Its too much of a hassle / risk to be building boxes yourself on that kind of a basis as then you're the ones stuck with the hardware support hassles. Its far easier to act as a reseller and just co-ordinate RMA stuff with the other company.

Agreed. I was part of a support team in a university so it wasn't my own business. I did consider going it alone but the margins were too lean and there was just too much competition from the big companies.

I live just down the road from novatech, and my mum has an ancient novatech PC

They're really good guys down there and I haven't been able to fault their techies either, they don't fob you off with crap.

no as it's illegal to do so I believe.. I make the money on the service charge for installing them.. but £50-£100 a pop with little effort, it's not too bad..

Only part time.. Although I can build them, I can't compete withthe likes of the likes of Novatech and Tescos

Here's my website www.admiralcomputers.co.uk

Novatech are bargaintastic. I was looking through their catalogue the other day and to say I was surprised by some of the prices would be an understatement.

I was put on to them via work who use them for most non-Dell/OEM stuff.

They're either quite expensive or stupidly cheap. I got the Corsair modular power supplies £10 cheaper than anywhere else selling it at the time when I got it.
