Christmas Spirit
Just been surprised by an extremely late Postal delivery just now.
The last few days my Mum's been worrying because some parcels haven't arrived in time for Christmas. Just had a knock at the door and there's the postman in the pouring rain extremely apologetic. Turned out he'd finished his delivery this morning, went shopping in Swansea, then when he went to load his car with shopping realised there was a small bundle of parcels for this address. So he drove out here to deliver them because as he said, they're obviously for tomorrow. What a nice bloke. I know it was his mistake but i'm sure others might not have gone out of their way to make sure it got there today.

That was really nice of him. Nice to see that some parts of the UK are feeling Christmassy.
I have to say that it really doesn't feel it here... There just doesn't seem to be that "feel" of Christmas - maybe I'm getting old... Anyway your thread's cheered me up - great to see there is some Christmas spirit around

If I'd thought of it, he'd have got one too probably.
The regular postman got a tip last week but this guy usually just does parcels so he got missed out somewhere. Was very nice though, made me all Christmassy too

Our postman is a legend. He's about a hundred years old and posts stuff through the wrong doors but he's got one of those faces you can't get angry with.

Our postie is great. Because we only moved across the road, he deliveres all post with our names on to our house, despite the wrong nmber being on it. Saved a fortune in re-direction costs especially as I'd have had to pay business rates on one of the addresses.
We gave him some choccies

Am I the only one who thought this thread was going to be about alcohol?
