MMS Receiving Issue
Yes its a Motorola. I know But anyway. I can send myself a 295kb MMS and get it back fine. However when some people send me even a 24kb mms it never works. I tell the phone to redownload it and it fails, every time. Its only certain people too. Some people can send me an MMS perfectly, no issue. Others every single MMS fails saying it couldn't be downloaded, then retrying causes it to be corrupted. So yeah, Motorola Razr 2, the v8. Its really annoying. I put my sim back into my old k800i and it instantly worked. I'm stuck with this phone now for another 9 months and I really hate it when things don't work as they should. I'd gladly swap it for one of those thin SE models. Bah. Its just so silly. If it was a size issue why did mine work? Its always the same people too. I've had an MMS from a SE ok, but then not another SE. I've had it fail from a n95 too. Has to be a reason why it always fails from certain people. I guess the only way out my contract is to pay it off?

Why not simply buy another phone rather than buying out your contract? It will probably work out about the same in the end if you pick up a phone on ebay.
Im sure there is an "I told you so" in there somewhere too |

Hmm good point. Not sure what they're on. I haven't heard from one guy cos it was a while ago and a random mms. But then I don't think thats the issue because if I put the sim in another phone it works perfectly. Its gotta be the Razr.

Check for a "Motorola" marking somewhere on the case. If you find it, then I'm afraid you've bought one of the duff ones. |

It is.
I had a SLVR for a while and had exactly the same issue. I never did get to the bottom of it but, like you, I could receive MMS from some but not others. Sorry mate but your phone's sh*te I ditched mine a long time ago in favour of the K800i and have been a happy camper ever since.

Mine was bloody awful.
I couldn't talk for more than 2 minutes without it dying on me - I had to reboot it 2 or 3 times before I could get it to work again. I persevered with it for about 3 weeks and said "F**k it" and got the K800i.
