Birthday present for 5yo Goddaughter
I almost forgot until my Mam reminded me tonight but it's my Goddaughter's birthday on Tuesday - I am a bad Godfather
I need to get her something special. I thought about a special bit of jewellery. Mam says she has bracelets and necklaces and stuff. Toys are no use, she has tons and that's not the sort of thing I want to get her anyway. Clothes are no use either as her Mam practically llives in Next. I want to get her something that says "My Godfather bought me this - it's special". I'm sorry to say that since I moved away I don't see her enough to know what she likes - I need some help. Anybody have any ideas? Budget would be around £100 but, for the perfect gift, I'd happily double that and more - so let's not skimp. I still like the idea of jewellery but it needs to be something that no-one else will have got her. She's a really special little girl and she deserves something cool.

I have a charm bracelet which I keep adding to. It was started for me when I was really young. Maybe you could do something similar? Then each birthday and christmas you can get a charm to add to it?

I just spoke to my Mam after Kelly suggested a jewellery box and it seems she doesn't have one. Mam says a musical box would be good as she likes that sort of thing. I like silver, so let's look for a silver musical jewellery box.

The trouble with anything valuable for a kid of that age is that they'll break it. No matter how strong it is, it'll get bust and with jewellery you're increasing that chance a lot because just by nature, it's not very strong.

Those look lovely. Doesn't need to be silver, just special. Thanks Sam.
