ATI 9800 Pro Vs Nvidia 6600GT

Simple question..

Which is the better card?

ATI 9800 Pro, or Nvidia 6600GT, both with 128Mb RAM.

Well yes, but it will still show wrong in ACP

I'm presuming that you meant the AGP 6000 btw rather than the PCI-E. Not that it'd change the outcome anyway.

Agreed - 6600GT wins that one. The 9800 Pro is in the previous generation of cards.

Yes, AGP.

My 9700 Pro broke, I pulled the 9800 Pro out of my spare box and plugged it into the Shuttle to keep me going but it's got a super duper cooler which means I can't put the cover on.

I've bought a 6600GT for €50 and was wondering which card will perform better in the Shuttle. Looking at eBay, that seems a good price.

The 9800 Pro will go back into the other box.

I upgraded from a 9800pro to a 6600GT when my 9800 frazzled and died. Noticably better card imo. True story.
