Default Photo Links 'n' Stuff

Right. Figured it might be nice to have a thread with shops, review sites, photo sites you like in and such.

Shops
-------

www.warehouseexpress.com
www.jessops.com
www.amazon.co.uk
www.digitalrev.com (Hong Kong based but great)
www.onestop-digital.com/catalog (I think they're based in the UK but buy in from HK)
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/FLASH-CAMERA (The great Kerso. Known to many forumites. Fully trustable and generally cheaper than most places. I've spent nearly £2k with him)
BH Photo - The classic New York camera store.
camerabox.co.uk

Review sites
--------------

www.dpreview.com (Generally the best and your first port of call)

Photographers
----------------

James Nacthwey - Incredible photographer. He does war photography and I have no idea how he sleeps at night.
Henri Cartier-Bresson - Invented street photography
Robert Capa - Amazing guy. He chose to be on the boats going to Normandy for D-Day. He chose! His work inspired Spielberg for Saving Private Ryan. He always said "If your pictures aren't good enough, you aren't close enough." Apparently he said that just before standing on a landmine.
Ansel Adams - He changed the way people meter light in photography and produced iconic b&w images of America.
Dave Hill - Brilliant portrait photographer.
The image is found - Brilliant portrait photography team

Photoblogs
----------
smudo
ride my pony (NSFW) - Excellent photos from Toronto. Often featuring naked girls, but very well done.
A Daily Dose of Imagery - Every day images from Toronto. One of the best photoblogs going.
Chromasia - Stunning images from Blackpool, yes you heard me right. Blackpool.
milou - mate of mine who takes stunning landscapes
mute
John McMurtrie - Photographer for top bands and music mags
hello
the narrative
Flak Photo - Daily random images from various photographers
Absolutely Nothing - Stunning landscapes
Stuck in Customs - HDR expert
The blog is found - Stunning photos of their lives
Vanilla Days - Little old me

Random photo sites
------------------

Photojojo - DIY photo project site
Bob Atkins - Photography news, lens info etc
Rob Galbraith - Photo news n stuff

Flickr
------

In case you don't know Flickr is a photo sharing site. You can sign up and post photos on it. Then you can share them just with your "friends and family" or with the world. Join groups about anything from local interest to random things.

Do you recommend Flickr over Photobucket then?

Photobucket is basically a storage site isn't it? Flickr has a lot more to it. Its more of a community site where you join groups of like minded people and share your images. Flickr also has something called "Explore." Through some random algorithm every day the site picks the top 500 images, and they're usually stunning. www.flickriver.com lets you browse them.

Pretty much, yeah. Sinead has an account for all of our pics. It's OK for what we need but you can't really do all that much with it.
