Ploughman's Lunch - less is more
Freshly baked granary bread spread lightly with butter, a couple of chunks of really strong mature cheddar and a pile of Branston pickle. Does simple food get any better than this when the sun is out?
I'm so bored of overcomplicated, overpriced sandwiches full of low quality ingredients. This has really hit the spot. I had to post about it

to compliment that, I do like a couple of pickled onions, straight from the fridge.
Perhaps on occasion, a slice or two of good ham |

It is indeed yummy. Though my home made Rhubarb chutney would go ace with that

I tend to make my own sandwiches if I have the time - I LOVE cheddar and branston sandwiches especially on thick crusty bread! Yum!

Mature Scottish cheddar with Branston is sooooooooo good. I must buy some Branston pickle when I get home.

I prefer some form of crusty white loaf, a good amount of proper butter, a decent lump of nice cheddar and a bit of home cooked ham. Lovely.
For people less fussy than I am with food, pickled onions make a good complement

Went to Borough market today, got some farmhouse bread and some lovely organic long matured cheddar (sooo crumbly and delicious), and someone had some homemade pickle. I also did buy 100g of foie gras. Best lunch EVAH!
